Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship
Entry requirements
GCSE grade D or above in Mathematics, English Language and a Science based subject.
Relevant NVQ, GNVQ subjects will also be considered.
What does Electrical Engineering work involve
- The design of electrical circuits and control systems
- The construction of electrical and electronic control systems
- The installation of electrical equipment or electronic systems
- Fault finding, repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems

The Training Programme
- The programme is generally four years which consists of both in-company and off-site training with assessment and attendance at college for further educational elements
- Further education is generally Keighley College
- Attendance at college is day release
The Qualifications Outcome
- NVQ levels 2 & 3 in electrical assembly or installation
- City and Guilds Progression awards or BTEC ONC
- Key Skills in Information Technology, Application of Number and Communications
- AM2 test (for those following installation or maintenance)
- Possible progression to Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Degree
